The International WELL Building Institute today announced that the 2020 WELL Conference, originally postponed from March to August 16-19 in Scottsdale, AZ, has been canceled.

The Nuckolls Fund Distributes $230,000

The Nuckolls Fund for Lighting Education has distributed the highest number of grants and awards in its 31 year history among its 2020 winners. Twelve recipients received a total of $230,000 in chunks ranging from $5,000 to $45,000.

Today, Savant Systems, Inc. announced it has signed a definitive agreement to buy GE Lighting, a division of GE. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

LIGHTFAIR Goes Online with “LIGHTFAIR Connect”

LIGHTFAIR will present selected courses from its 2020 Conference program online as “LIGHTFAIR Connect” July 21-23, 2020. The virtual conference will feature more than 60 hours of accredited courses and more than 50 sessions presented in seven educational tracks. LIGHTFAIR Connect is inspired by demand for online learning that was expressed by the lighting community in the wake of the cancellation of the 2020 Conference due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Kenall Licenses Disinfection Lighting Patents to Pinnacle

Kenall Manufacturing recently announced it has licensed visible light disinfection patents to Pinnacle Architectural Lighting of Denver, Colorado. Both lighting companies are part of Legrand North and Central America.

Kenall and Visa Reach Settlement on Disinfection Lighting

Kenall Manufacturing and Visa Lighting mutually agreed to settle their pending litigation concerning visible light disinfection technology. According to Kenall, Visa Lighting has ceased its relationship with Vital Vio, Inc., will cease selling its current disinfecting products, and will discontinue the use of technology from Vital Vio, Inc.
