Two EV Charger Trade Shows…Where Are Lighting Manufacturers?

Much has been written about the numerous lighting manufacturers that have expanded into EV chargers. A few examples include: Espen Technology, Light Efficient Design, Leviton, and LEDVANCE. So what are the tradeshows for the EV charger industry? One is EV & Charging Expo 2024, held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, today and tomorrow. This show is billed as “the premier B2B event to learn from leading charging and fleet electrification experts, engage in discussions about powering the future of transportation, anticipating EV loads, and discover strategies of how other communities plan to meet their climate goals—all in one convenient location.” Show information is at EVandChargingExpo.com.

However, when you look at the exhibitor list, the only lighting manufacturer is Leviton. Where are the dozen other lighting manufacturers selling EV chargers?

The largest North American EV charger trade show is EV Charging Summit & Expo. The next edition will be March 25-27, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV. Show information is at https://evchargingsummit.com .

Although the 2024 EV Charging Summit & Expo, this past March, had 169 exhibitors, the only lighting manufacturer exhibitor was Wisconsin Lighting Lab, Inc. (WiLL). Again, where are the dozen other lighting manufacturers selling EV chargers? It will be interesting to see when the lighting manufacturers exhibit at the EV charger shows.
