Light + Health, Products + Technology

Product Monday: Korrus Ecosense Circadian Lighting Line

Korrus has introduced a comprehensive ecosystem of circadian lighting solutions designed to minimize circadian disruption across multiple environments. Historically, companies only provided piecemeal options—like a single bulb or an isolated fixture—making it difficult to fully equip a space. Because circadian lighting is essentially an “all-or-nothing” proposition for biological health, Korrus has launched an end-to-end line under its OIO consumer brand and Ecosense architectural division to solve this issue.

The product lineup relies on patented spectral engineering developed with Dr. Martin Moore-Ede. Instead of simply changing brightness or basic color temperatures like standard smart bulbs, Korrus dynamically adjusts the exact circadian blue content that hits the human eye throughout the day:

Daytime (MaxBlue): Delivers precise, blue-rich wavelengths to mimic the sun, boosting energy, focus, and daytime alertness.

Evening (ZeroBlue): Automatically shifts to eliminate blue wavelengths, allowing natural melatonin production to rise.

Nighttime (Red-dominated): Emits a night-safe spectrum optimized to prevent sleep disruption and facilitate cellular repair.

The line spanning home, office, and electronic environments includes:

OIO Circadian Light Bulbs: Available in consumer formats like the standard A-19 and recessed BR-30shapes. These bulbs support the Matter protocol for smart home setups and cycle through biological modes automatically using the OIO App.

Display Screen Technology: Korrus developed a dual-channel hardware and software system for TVs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. As it transitions from day to zero-blue night emission, it maintains the exact same color gamut and picture quality without shifting into an ugly orange “night mode” hue.

Ecosense Architectural Fixtures: For corporate and commercial settings, the Korrus Grid provides fully recessed commercial ceiling troffers. These are built specifically to maintain biological health and reduce shift fatigue in low-natural-light settings like hospitals, wellness centers, and offices. The architectural fixture line also includes Korrus OIO Bar linear lights, and Korrus OIO Line fixtures.
