10 Largest Luminaire Manufacturers Control 22 Percent of Global Market

IHS Electronics360 recently reported on the transition to LED technology in the global lighting market. They reported:

* LED lamp revenues were 30% of the global lamp market in 2014, up from 25% in 2013
* LED market share in global lamp market expected at 67% in 2022
* Philips is worldwide market leader in LED lamps, with 17% of the global market
* Biggest lamp manufacturers lost market share in 2014 due to decline of traditional lamp market
* LED luminaire revenues were 23% of the global luminaire market in 2014, up from 21% in 2013
* LED market share in luminaire market expected at 53% in 2022
* Philips is worldwide market leader in luminaires, with 6% of the global market
* Top 10 luminaire manufacturers comprise 22% of the global market
