Litecontrol has announced that its Mainstream product has won a 2010 Green GOOD DESIGN Award. Mainstream by Litecontrol is a micro-scaled pendant LED luminaire that features uniform and controlled illumination, optimized thermal management, internal power conversion and higher efficacy than comparable fluorescent direct luminaires. The luminaire measures 2-in. x 2-in. and is suitable for applications where small-scale linear fixtures are needed.
Founded in 1950, the GOOD DESIGN program is the world’s oldest and most respected program for design excellence, organized by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
