Architectural SSL recently published an article I wrote about Rock Sugar, a new 7,000+ sq.ft. Los Angeles restaurant offering Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indonesian and East Indian food in opulent surroundings.
The particular demands of the lighting design, coupled with strict requirements imposed by Title 24, disqualified many conventional lighting methods. Lighting designers Focus Lighting turned to LEDs for many applications in the restaurant. All linear lighting—including backlighting behind banquettes, uplighting on the ceiling, and bar fascia lighting—is provided by LEDs and colored gel sleeves.
