Visit the Itre “Light Lounge” in New York May 14-17

SIT-UP
To mark the occasion of New York Design week (May 14-May 17), Italian lighting manufacturer ITRE will create a “light lounge” in front of Pastis, a restaurant in the Meatpacking District.
On display will be two interesting lighting designs:
SIT-UP is a light source that doubles as a bench; multiple units can be arranged to create various configurations, from circular designs to serpentine shapes that literally transform into illuminated benches.
THE GREAT JJ
THE GREAT JJ OUTDOOR’s exaggerated proportions give it a surreal quality; it is composed of a highly adjustable armature, which can stretch the design to a height of almost 14 ft. and an aluminum diffuser that can rotate up to 105° and measures 23-¼ in. height with a diameter of 22 in. Its imposing stature, lacquered finish and industrial look can be used to add a theatrical element to spaces.
