OSRAM SYLVANIA is making it easier for drivers to find the correct replacement headlights, signal bulbs and almost all other auto bulbs for their car, truck, van or SUV with a new iPhone application that virtually replicates the company’s automotive lamp replacement guide. The multi-layer database application does not require cell phone reception as it is housed right to the phone.
Owners of the iPhone 3GS, 3G, iTouch and select earlier iPhones can download the free iPhone App from the iTunes App Store (here for 3GS, here for 3G and iTouch) and search for the appropriate parts needed to replace auto light bulbs. With a few screen touches to select a vehicle’s make, model and year of manufacture, iPhone users can access a detailed listing of replacement automotive bulbs for every make of car sold in the United States from 1991 to 2009 on the 3GS and 1999 to 2009 on the 3G and iTouch. iTunes software is required to download the App.
