Raleigh, NC Section of IES Announces LED Utility Outdoor Lighting Workshop to be Held April 14, 2010

On April 14, 2010, from 9AM to 4PM, the Raleigh Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society will present a seminar on LED outdoor lighting for electric utility personnel and other interested people. The event will occur at Progress Energy W. Raleigh Operations Center, 7001 Pinecrest Road, Raleigh, NC 27613, in the
second-floor conference room.

A few of the topics that the speaker, Bob Henderson, LC, CLEP, IES, will be covering include:

• LED efficiency – truth or myth – how does it work?
• How to design an LED utility rate, change-out policy and associated support docs
• LED utility hardware specifications checklist
• LEDs – health, color preference, IDA
• Heat, calculations, photometrics and warranty

Lunch, snacks, and seminar materials will be provided.
