Two Dallas Resimercial Lighting Events Will Overlap

In June 2027, Dallas Market Center will bring architectural, commercial, and decorative residential lighting communities together through the overlapping schedules of ArchLIGHT Summit and Lightovation. ArchLIGHT Summit is scheduled for June 22–23, while Lightovation runs June 23–26, creating a connected, multi-day lighting experience for the design and specification community.

The timing creates more than a convenient calendar alignment. It offers a practical response to the increasingly blurred boundaries between residential and light commercial lighting—particularly the growth of “resimercial” design, in which residential warmth, comfort, and visual character are applied to offices, hospitality venues, multifamily developments, retail environments, and other commercial spaces.

A broader sourcing experience

ArchLIGHT Summit has established a platform for commercial and architectural lighting brands, educators, designers, architects, engineers, specifiers, contractors, integrators, and other professionals shaping the built environment. Lightovation, meanwhile, is recognized as North America’s largest residential lighting show.

By placing the events side by side, Dallas Market Center can connect audiences that increasingly influence the same projects. An architect or lighting designer attending ArchLIGHT Summit may find decorative pendants, chandeliers, sconces, and portable fixtures at Lightovation that bring a hospitality-inspired sensibility to a workplace or multifamily interior. Conversely, a residential lighting buyer or decorative brand can gain exposure to controls, performance criteria, specification practices, and project requirements more commonly associated with commercial lighting.

For attendees, the combined schedule can reduce travel and expand the value of a Dallas visit. Participants can pursue accredited education and technology insights at ArchLIGHT Summit, then move directly into Lightovation’s extensive residential product environment. The result is a more complete view of lighting—from optical performance, controls, and sustainability to finish, form, comfort, and emotional impact. ArchLIGHT programming has previously emphasized lighting design, technology, sustainability, and continuing-education opportunities.

New possibilities for exhibitors

The overlap also gives exhibitors access to a more diverse prospect base. Architectural and commercial manufacturers can meet decorative lighting buyers, interior designers, builders, and residential-oriented professionals who may be specifying products for hospitality, senior living, multifamily, and other hybrid applications. Decorative brands, in turn, can demonstrate how their products support commercial-scale opportunities when paired with appropriate ratings, controls, documentation, and service.

That cross-pollination may be especially valuable for manufacturers developing product families that span multiple channels. A decorative fixture designed for a residence may also become a focal point in a boutique hotel, restaurant, amenity space, or collaborative office. Exhibitors can use the combined event to explain not only what a product looks like, but also where it fits within a complete specification, procurement, and installation strategy.

The format should encourage more meaningful conversations as well. ArchLIGHT Summit has highlighted one-on-one meetings, networking events, dedicated pavilions, and lounge spaces as ways to connect manufacturers with attendees. Lightovation adds the scale and product breadth needed to turn those conversations into broader sourcing opportunities.

Advancing resimercial design

Most importantly, the June 2027 overlap recognizes that today’s lighting market is not neatly divided into residential and commercial categories. Designers are seeking products that combine decorative appeal with performance, flexibility, durability, and intelligent control. Bringing both events together can help the industry develop that vocabulary—and make resimercial lighting a more deliberate, scalable market opportunity.

For attendees and exhibitors alike, Dallas in June may become a single destination where inspiration, education, specification, and sourcing meet.
