IES Now Accepting 2026 Progress Report Submissions

The IES is now accepting submissions for the 2026 IES Industry Progress Report. The IES is seeking significant new advancements in lighting products, research, publications, and design tools from the past year.

The mission of the Progress Committee is to keep in touch with developments in the art and science of lighting throughout the world and prepare a yearly report of achievements for the Society. Acceptance is based on an impartial judging process used by the committee to evaluate each submission on its uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry.

Submissions accepted into the Industry Progress Report will be:

• Presented during the Progress Report at the annual IES Lighting Conference
• Posted on the IES website
• Presented in a post IES Lighting Conference webinar
• Awarded a presentation-grade certificate
• Published in LD+A
• Receive an electronic seal for use in marketing materials

You can save $100 if you submit by April 27 for Early Bird Savings. Final submission deadline is May 8, 2026.

The ALA awarded David the Pillar of the Industry Award. David has co-chaired ALA’s Engineering Committee since 2010. David established MaxLite’s OEM component sales into a multi-million dollar division. He invented GU24 lamps while leading ENERGY STAR lighting programs for the US EPA. David has been published in leading lighting publications, including LD+A, enLIGHTenment Magazine, LEDs Magazine, and more.
