On December 7, 2016, Amazon completed a fully automatic trial delivery of a package in Cambridge, UK using an aerial drone. Delivery was accomplished in 13 minutes. The below video demonstrates the entire transaction.
The trial automatic delivery is part of Amazon Prime Air, a system being pioneered with the goal of delivering packages to customers within 30 minutes.
