Product Monday: ArcheType X by Kim Lighting

In what is a very innovative year in the lighting industry, I’d like to show you another interesting new product, this one from Kim Lighting.

Kim’s ArcheType X series, available in a flood, wall or site/area luminaires, offers independently adjustable LED emitters, providing limitless lighting distributions and possibilities from one product family. This allows the luminaire to be configured to any standard or custom distribution, either at the factory or in the field. For precise aiming, the optics feature 355 degree rotation with 70 degree module tilt independent of the luminaire.

If there’s a problem in the field, users can simply re-aim using the AGi 32 V.16.0 Design Isolines software and send the custom IES file to Kim Lighting, which will create a modified template and send it back for field modification of the distribution.

The three major products in the ArcheType family are:

FLOOD. Available in three sizes (3×3–54 LEDs; 4×4–96 LEDs; 5×5–150 LEDs) and three color temperatures (3000K, 4000K and 5000K), the flood can deliver up to 12,000 lumens and is ideal for nighttime facade lighting.

WALL. The complimentary ArcheType X Wall family has been designed to allow either focused up or classic down distribution performance in addition to customizable options.

SITE/AREA. The ArcheType X site/area family utilizes the LEAR modules to take on tasks previously accomplished only by ground-mounted sign lighting or landscape level products. This family delivers vertical illuminance without obtrusive glare or wasteful spill light allowing designers to highlight traffic lanes and minimize boundary lighting trespass without the need for external louvers or shields.
