The 2011 Lighting Design Awards took place on on March 10 at the London Hilton, Park Lane. More than 700 lighting designers and architects attended the inspiring ceremony and enjoyed a night of celebration and entertainment.
David Atkinson, Associate IALD, was named UK Lighting Designer of the Year at the ceremony. The Designer of the Year is someone who, in the judges’ opinion, has exhibited exceptional lighting design skills, innovation and vision over the past year. It is not an award for a body of work built up over a longer period.
