Lunera Lighting, Inc., a Silicon Valley company that designs, manufactures, and markets LED lighting, recently announced the launch of an LED eBook to help commercial building owners and facility managers, lighting specifiers and others interested in LED lighting systems better understand the advantages of the new technology.
The first chapter ,titled “Why LED Lighting is Ready for Prime Time,” explores the evolution of LED semiconductor technology from its early beginnings to today. It briefly touches upon advances in LED design, light quality, sustainability and engineering and also speaks about the economics of the digital technology and the strong return on investment LED lighting provides. Upcoming chapters will discuss a variety of topics including: advancements in control systems; artistry in light; phosphors, engineering to maximize energy savings and the environmental benefits of LED light.
