Stray Light Optical Technologies recently introduced a new street light designed around LUXIM’s Light Emitting Plasma (LEP) technology. The luminaire is the first of Stray Light Optical’s Tesla series, the company’s portfolio of energy-efficient solutions for general lighting. The occasion marked the first public deployment of LUXIM’s LEP technology for streetlighting applications. The tic-tac-sized light source is already illuminating high-intensity applications such as projection displays, medical instrumentation devices and entertainment spotlights, along with other general lighting applications.
