Renaissance Lighting Launches LED Fixture Recycling Program

LED fixture manufacturer Renaissance Lighting has established a recycling program designed to keep Renaissance Lighting products out of the nation’s landfills.

The company’s fixtures are nearly 100% recyclable, according to the company. From the reflector to the mounting frame to the LED light engine, most of the product can be recycled by returning it to Renaissance for binning and subsequent shipping to Potomac Metals, Inc., a scrap metal recycling company in Sterling, VA.

Luminaires once destined for disposal in landfills will return instead to Renaissance lighting for a binning process and subsequently shipped to Potomac Metals Inc., a privately held independent scrap metal recycling company based in Sterling, VA.
