Product Monday: Focal Point’s Seem Sweep 2 Family

Focal Point’s Seem Sweep 2 has expanded their award-winning curvilinear luminaires with narrow, 2.5″ aperture, offering additional design flexibility to specifiers. Building on the success of the original Seem Sweep 2 Patterns, these new offerings introduce a broader toolkit of curved and linear forms, now unified by rounded end caps that deliver a soft, cohesive aesthetic across the entire family.

The introduction of standalone Arcs and Straights enables designers to extend these forms into new interior applications, from gentle undulations that trace architectural movement to bold gestures that anchor open spaces.

“With Arcs and Straights, we’re giving designers even more freedom to shape light in ways that feel intentional, fluid, and architecturally connected,” says Adam Zepeda, Product Manager. “The rounded end caps play a key role: they complete the design language of Seem Sweep 2 and ensure every configuration, whether curved or linear, feels cohesive and soft. This expansion truly rounds out the toolbox and opens the door to more expressive lighting solutions that works in harmony with the curves of biophilic and parametric architecture.”

The new luminaires are available in:

  • Standalone Arcs in 30°, 45°, 60°, or 90° angle, radius of 36″, 48″, 60″, 72″, 84″, 96″, 108″, 120″, 144″ or 168″.
  • Straights in lengths from two to eight feet as individual units, or continuous runs, in one-inch increments.
  • Rounded end caps as a standard aesthetic feature.

Designers can specify:

  • Direct only or bidirectional illumination with single or dual circuits
  • Lambertian or Batwing indirect distributions
  • 250–1000lm/ft. direct and 250–1250lm/ft. indirect outputs
  • 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, or 4000K, 80 or 90 CRI
  • Controls including 0–10V, Low Voltage/PoE, Lutron Athena, and DALI
  • Finishes in White, Black, and Palladium Silver

The family offers efficacy ranging between 110 and 160 lumens per watt, depending on the light output and configuration. The coordinated family provides a scalable solution for commercial offices, education facilities, hospitality venues, transportation hubs, convention centers, and more.
