WILD – Lamplighter Bystander Training

The webinar is provided by Alteristic, a non-profit committed to preventing all forms of interpersonal violence in professional environments. Alteristic is working directly with WILD to address the specific needs of our industry.

Participants will learn to:

  • Recognize and respond to behaviors that could lead to or constitute harassment
  • Acknowledge barriers that may prevent action and develop realistic options for intervening, and
  • Identify ways you can utilize your sphere of influence to establish a climate of dignity and respect

There will be three small-group workshops following the webinar for those interested in continuing to develop skills in this area.

DLC Controls Summit “Unlocking the Potential of Networked Lighting Controls”

“Unlocking the Potential of Networked Lighting Controls,” is a collaborative event for lighting and energy efficiency professionals to ideate on a clear path forward for networked lighting controls. Find details on who should attend as well as the conference agenda here.

An escape room challenge is scheduled for Day 2 of the event. Participants will configure a network lighting (NLC) system on a deadline. The goal is to create a shared understanding of the challenges trade allies face on job sites. Afternoon sessions will build on the lessons learned during the challenge.

NYControlled is a controls-focused event for lighting professionals wanting to learn about the latest developments in controls technology and see new products from the top manufacturers in the industry.

There is still time to submit a proposal to LEDucation to present a session at the March events. The deadline is September 1st.
