The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) recently announced Kevin Houser, PhD, PE, LC, LEED AP, as the new Editor of LEUKOS, The journal of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. Prof. Houser succeeded David L. DiLaura, LC, FIES, Editor of Volumes 1 – 7.
LEUKOS contains current technical developments of worldwide interest and lasting importance relating to illuminating engineering and lighting design. LEUKOS, a peer-reviews journal, publishes five types of peer-reviewed articles: scientific research results, engineering development, technical aspects of lighting applications, tutorial and critical reviews, and brief communications including letters to the editor and book reviews.
Kevin Houser is Associate Professor of Architectural Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, a position he assumed in January 2008. He held the positions of Associate Professor of Architectural Engineering (2005 – 2007) and Assistant Professor (1998 – 2005) at the University of Nebraska. Prof. Houser has been a member of the IES since 1992 and also served on the Board of Directors (2008 – 2011). He is the author of numerous articles and has received a number of awards recognizing excellence in teaching and research.
Prof. Houser’s first initiative was to assemble a new team of Regional Associate Editors:
