Lightsearch.com Publishes List of Lighting Mobile Apps for iPad, iPhone and Android Devices

Lightsearch.com has added a new page to its Lighting Resource Center which lists Mobile Apps for iPad, iPhone and Android mobile devices. The list is comprised of a wide range of tools that could be useful to lighting professionals which includes: calculators, light meters, wireless lighting and DMX controllers, manufacturers product catalogs, and even a LightMap created by the IALD.

The mobile computing platform has given developers the ability to create problem-solving applications. The economy of scale now facilitates the creation of very specific applications that were previously either too niche or weren’t practical on other platforms. We are now beginning to see the emergence of tools specific to the needs of lighting professionals on these new platforms which will only grow over time. Lightsearch.com’s list includes a brief description of each app with links to a download page and more information about each product. Many are free with paid products ranging from a few dollars to over $100.

If you know of an app that isn’t listed, contact Gary Turpen.
