Philips Lighting recently announced that iconic retailer Macy’s has selected Philips EnduraLED LED lamps as part of the nationwide program to retrofit 117,000 halogen-based accent lighting in 86 of its U.S. stores. In just two weeks, Philips was able to design and produce thousands of EnduraLED PAR38 SP15 lamps that could meet Macy’s sustainability goals, as well as provide better light quality to enhance the customer shopping experience.
The new EnduraLED lamp uses 13W and replaces the 47W halogen bulbs Macy’s currently uses. The EnduraLED has also been approved for the retailer’s long term retrofit plans.
