Microsoft Develops Screens Powered by Ambient Light

Microsoft Research has developed a prototype for an E-Ink device that is powered by ambient light, including electric lighting, via an integral solar panel. The device functions as a digital Post-It Note. Create the note using a PC or smartphone and send it to the device using Bluetooth. The message will stay on the screen until you change it.
