Another amazing project from the folks at Focus Lighting … As the entry piece at the Boffo Show House, Focus Lighting’s interactive installation – “Cloud” – unifies the four Show House experiences by ushering guests in with a veil of ever-changing color overhead.
The LED nodes illuminating the 200 tubes and uplighting the ceiling above the installation’s 16 wooden discs employ infrared sensors that allow “Cloud” to process the movement beneath it. As visitors enter the 35-foot long hallway, a dynamic shift in color springs ahead of them, cycling randomly to one of 12 shows, each with themes derived from nature. The light also becomes more dynamic as it senses increased activity within the hallway, giving “Cloud” a life of its own.
