U.S. Architectural Lighting Significantly Boosts Performance Across ValuLume, Razar and Linear EXT Families

(Aug 17, 2026 – Palmdale, CA) U.S. Architectural Lighting, a U.S. Outdoor Lighting brand, has announced a major performance upgrade to three of its flagship area, site and roadway lighting families – ValuLume (VLL), Razar (RZR) and Linear EXT (LXT) – bringing substantially higher lumen output, greater efficacy, expanded controls compatibility and new architectural finishes. This has been accomplished while preserving the proven optical performance and durability that have made these luminaires specification favorites for years.

The enhancements are driven by newly upgraded PLED® optical modules engineered to deliver a 17% increase in lumen output. Therefore, ValuLume now delivers up to 52,000 lumens, while Razar and Linear EXT are now capable of producing up to 78,000 lumens with efficacies reaching 200 lumens per watt. These improvements enable lighting designers to illuminate larger spaces with fewer fixtures and poles, lowering installation costs while reducing long term energy consumption. Customers retain the same architectural styling, construction, and field-proven optical flexibility, while gaining significantly more usable light and higher system efficiency.

Smarter Controls. Greater Flexibility.

The upgraded luminaires are available with optional DALI D4i drivers and Zhaga Book 18 receptacles, making integration with today’s smart city easier than ever. These additions complement our company’s commitment to controls interoperability, allowing customers to specify virtually any major OEM lighting control system.

New Premium Architectural Finishes

In addition to enhanced performance, our luminaires are now available in several new premium powder coat finishes designed to complement today’s architectural environments: Silver/Grey/Copper Vein, Graphite, and Flat Black Fine Texture. These finishes join U.S. Architectural Lighting’s extensive finish offering while providing architects and designers with even more aesthetic flexibility.

Proven Performance Remains

While performance has increased dramatically, the core technologies that have made our optics successful remain unchanged, including:

  • Proven rotatable PLED® optical modules
  • 11 primary optical distributions
  • Integrated House Side Shields (HSS)
  • External EGS glare shield options
  • Industry leading Wide Throw optics that help reduce pole counts
  • Dark Sky compliant (U0) performance
  • BABA compliant construction
  • Rugged, time tested quality and reliability
  • Compatibility with all major lighting control platforms

The First Step in a Broader Performance Evolution

The upgraded ValuLume, Razar and Linear EXT families represent the first phase of a broader product enhancement initiative. Over the coming months, the newly enhanced PLED® optical module will be introduced across additional U.S. Architectural Lighting and Sun Valley Lighting luminaire families, extending these same performance gains, including higher lumen output, improved efficacy, expanded controls, and enhanced optical performance, to even more specification grade products.

With significantly more light, greater efficiency, smarter controls, and the same trusted optical platform, the newly upgraded ValuLume, Razar and Linear EXT luminaires establish a new performance benchmark for architectural site and area lighting while preserving the quality, flexibility, and reliability customers have relied on for years.
