New event brings lighting and building technology professionals together in Las Vegas, with a pre-conference March 15 and exhibition March 16–18.
Attendee registration is now open for the inaugural Light + Intelligent Building North America, taking place March 15–18, 2027, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event will open with a full-day pre-conference on March 15, followed by three days of exhibits and on-floor education March 16–18.
Organized by Messe Frankfurt Inc. in partnership with the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), the event is aligned with Messe Frankfurt’s global Light + Building portfolio. It will bring together professionals who design, specify, build, and operate spaces to discover products, exchange expertise, and explore how lighting and building technologies work together.
Those connections will take shape across three show-floor sectors: Lighting, Building Technology, and Components & Accessories. Offerings will span architectural and decorative lighting, connected controls, building automation, and supporting components. Attendees can compare solutions, discuss project requirements directly with manufacturers, and see technology in action through live demonstrations.
“Choosing the right product is only part of delivering a successful project. Professionals also need to understand how it will function within the larger building,” said Latoya Gooding, Senior Show Manager. “Light + Intelligent Building North America brings those conversations into one place, giving attendees access to the products, technical expertise, and industry perspectives that inform better decisions.”
Complementing the exhibits, the educational program will be developed with education partner Light Collective, led by Sharon Stammers and Martin Lupton. Their involvement will help shape sessions around current industry conversations, offering perspectives and practical insights attendees can apply to their own work. The program will include a full-day pre-conference and on-floor theatres centered on intelligence, illumination, and innovation, with opportunities to earn CEUs through eligible sessions.
Throughout the event, networking opportunities will connect lighting designers, architects, engineers, specifiers, and agents with systems integrators, facility professionals, and building owners. These exchanges will help attendees build relationships across the disciplines involved in bringing a project from concept to operation.
