The lumens per watt on a HIR/37watt mr16 med or spot exceed 200. New technology has to equal or exceed the required lumens for each replacement application. We always get the tail wagging the dog. This new remote phophor technology is exciting. Go Phillips.

As good as this lamp will be, here in the state of Calif. there is no advantage in using LED's as we need every watt of 40 lumins or greater sources to off set the less efficent sources (MR16's in most cases) per Title 24. The incentive is to use higher wattages of fluorescent sources to build up wattage insted of much lower LED sources. We need a better credet system to encourage LED use and get away from the poisonous CFL's which use more energy to be removed from the waste stream than they saved over their life as a light source. We need advocates for the correct use of LED's and better credits for same. From David Steinitz, Owner of F.I.R.E./L.T.D. Los Angeles, CA.

I have developed a sustainable lighting class for Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. We would be happy to participate in the field testing. If you choose not to include us I would appreciate iot if we could get some samples for the class. I am also wondering if these lamps are dimmable?

Thank you!
