Researchers Claim Achieving 90 Lumens/W with OLED

Dresden University and German OLED company Novaled are claiming that they have achieved a source efficacy of 90 lumens/W. With this accomplished, researchers say they must now achieve their next breakthrough in increasing service life to make OLEDs competitive with other sources in general lighting applications. NEMA Publishes Two Lighting Standards

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published ANSI/ANSLG C81.61-2009 Electrical Lamp Bases—Specifications for Bases (Caps) for Electric Lamps and ANSI/ANSLG C81.62-2009 Electric Lampholders. Both documents were last revised in 2007. C81.61 and C81.62 respectively cover lamp bases (caps) and lampholders for electric lamps. Lighting Controls Association Publishes Whitepaper on Bilevel Occupancy Sensing

The Lighting Controls Association recently published a whitepaper I wrote about a new California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC) study on bilevel occupancy sensors.
